Enjoying the Beach

The one thing I love about living in Savannah is that we are really close to the beach. It is about a 40 minute drive to get to Tybee Island. If we were to get a boat, it would be about a 10 minute boat ride to the beach. And if we want to do a quick weekend trip we are 2 hours away from Jacksonville. This last weekend we decided to check out the beach in Jacksonville. John had two free nights that were getting ready to expire so we took advantage of a hotel right on the beach. I have to say that beach life is great. The kids had a ball and we got to relax. Of course I didn’t have my camera with me (surprise, surprise) so the pictures I am posting were actually taken a few weeks ago when I took the kids to Tybee.

The neighbors gave Jett their Wave Board and he had a ball.

I also wanted to share a picture of our moving truck.

The girls are having fun in Mommy Preschool this year. Here is what we do each day. Each week we talk about a new letter and number. We also learn a new sight word each week. There is a memory verse we learn as well as a vocab work. We count to 100 each day and say our days of the week. We also talk about the weather and seasons. The girls love running to the window to see what the conditions are outside and then coloring the matching picture. We call this Circle Time. Then we read through our “books” which are repetitiveĀ  words and then we write our letter and number.
