Tasty Tuesday- Stir Fry with Black Asian Sauce

Today I am going to share a recipe I use when I get a Chinese food craving. It is very easy!! Now the kids don’t really like this because there are too many vegetables so I always cook them something else.

Brown Rice
2 cups brown rice
4 cups water
Put rice and water in a 9 X 13 pan and cover with foil. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

While that is baking I make the stir fry.
1 Red and Yellow pepper
1 Zuccini
Mushrooms
Broccoli
(Really any vege you want to put in)
Saute that in a little bit of water until veges are tender.

Sauce
2 TBS Olive oil
2 TBS water
2 TBS Nutritional Yeast Flakes- Can get this at Whole Foods in the bulk section
1 TBS Braggs Amino- Can get this at Whole Foods- It is a substitute for soy sauce because I can’t have soy. You could probably use soy sauce instead.
1 tsp Basil
1 tsp minced garlic
Dash of Caynne
1/2 tsp ginger
Mix sauce together in a separate bowl. When veges are done pour over.

Serve over brown rice.
Here is a picture of the Braggs and Nutritional yeast.

I also want to give a quick update. Monday I had my MRI and Ultrasound. The Ultrasound went great! After much searching the doctor couldn’t find anything on the Ultrasound. It was almost as if the tumor had disappeared!! The doctor said that these results were more than what they had expected or even hoped for. Today my surgeon called with preliminary results for the MRI. Once again my world is starting to spin. The MRI found another “spot” that looks suspicious. So now I have to go for another ultrasound. While this won’t really be bad news it would mean that I would probably need to have the mastectomy. I won’t know anything until October 1st when I meet with the surgeon to discuss my options. The other thing we talked about was being as aggressive as possible. I am really beginning to hate the scans. Please continue to pray that the “spot” will be nothing. I know God is answering all the prayers.

  1. Just remember that what ever path you are walking down, that God is there holding your hand! HE has taken you farther in your treatments than you thought possible so trust Him for the rest of the way! My husband always tells me not to borrow trouble from the future…Celebrate your health so far and let God deal with the future!
